Privacy Policy

Goal Rush is a fan-made, non-commercial educational quiz. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA, UEFA, any national football federation, league, club, broadcaster, or player.

Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the game and the leaderboard. We don’t sell your data, we don’t share it with marketing partners, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.

What we collect

Account identifier. When you sign in, we store a Firebase Authentication user ID and your chosen username. If you sign in anonymously, only an anonymous ID is stored.
Gameplay data. Your guesses, reaction times, scores, current and best streaks, and which clips you have already played.
Push subscription (optional). If you opt in to push notifications, we store the subscription endpoint your browser provides so we can send the daily-challenge ping.
Anonymised analytics. Google Analytics (GA4) collects standard, IP-anonymised usage data — page views, approximate country, device type, referrer.
Server logs. Standard request logs (IP, user-agent, timestamp) are kept short-term for security and rate limiting.

What we don’t collect

We do not collect your real name, address, phone number, or payment details. Donations go through Ko-fi and are handled entirely on their platform.
We do not sell or rent your data.
We do not share data with marketing or ad-tech partners.
We do not use third-party tracking pixels beyond the analytics described above.

Cookies & local storage

Goal Rush uses local storage in your browser to remember your session, preferences, daily-challenge progress, and which clips you have already seen. Google Analytics may set its own cookies for traffic measurement. No advertising cookies are set.

Third-party services

Firebase Authentication (Google) — sign-in and account identity.
Google Analytics 4 — anonymised usage analytics.
Ko-fi — voluntary donations (handled on ko-fi.com, not on goalrush.games).

Data retention

Gameplay data is kept for as long as your account exists. Server logs are kept for a short period (typically a few weeks) for security and abuse prevention.

Your rights

You can request to view, correct, or delete the data associated with your account at any time. Contact us using the e-mail on the Copyright page and include the username on your account.

Children

Goal Rush is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
